This issue of Jurnal Arbitrer brings together a diverse array of studies in the fields of linguistics, translation, language education, corpus linguistics, and sociocultural analysis, contributed by authors from Indonesia, Malaysia, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Hungary, the Netherlands, the Kyrgyz Republic, and Morocco (8 countries). The research explores critical topics such as grammatical acquisition among EFL learners and the challenges of translation, particularly between English and Chinese. Further, this issue addresses the sociocultural threats to minority languages, the challenges in EFL education and literacy, and the impact of AI in language teaching. Altogether, this volume provides valuable contributions to the study of language acquisition, corpus development, and the intersection of language, culture, and education from a global perspective.
